Sustainable ski boot fitting

At The Boot Lab, we live and work in the heart of the Alps. The mountain environment is not just our backdrop, it is our home, our playground, and the reason we do what we do. That is why we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and making more responsible choices wherever possible. We are part of the collective with One Tree at a Time. We’ve taken their pledge and we’re committed to changing The Boot Lab’s environmental impact.

Repair first, replace later

We always look for a solution before suggesting something new. Whether it is replacing a worn-out liner, fixing buckles, or adjusting the shell, we try to extend the life of your boots. Keeping equipment going for longer reduces waste and saves you money - it just makes sense. If we can make it work better, we will.

Reducing waste on and off the slopes

Behind the scenes, we are cutting down on unnecessary waste wherever we can. We reuse cardboard boxes for storage and shipping, avoid plastic packaging where possible, and recycle worn-out liners and boots through our partner at Tecnica. Every small decision adds up, and we believe these small changes make a real difference.

We collect unwanted gear

If you would like to have your ski clothing mended, then The Boot Lab acts as a collection point for Made by Manon. Should you need a patch, a new zip or a repaired hem, Manon can fix this for you. (We also stock her one-of-a-kind upcycled 5-panel caps in the shop!)

You can also bring your unwanted but re-useable ski clothing to The Boot Lab and we will deliver it to One Tree at a Time, in Bozel for resale and redistribution into the local community.
